In House Training

If you need in-house training in Food Safety or the Sale of Liquor Act, we can come to you! Training can be tailor made to suit your business. Tell us what you need and we can organise a training that is appropriate for your business, and held at a time that is suitable to you. Minimum number applies for all in-house training.

Food Safety Programmes (HACCP)

A Food Safety Programme (FSP) is a written programme designed to manage food safety. We write a FSP, assist in the implementation and apply for an exemption under the Food Act i.e. approval by the NZFSA.

Who Needs a FSP: Manufacturers and Distributors supplying to retailers. Supermarkets and some companies also require their suppliers to have an approved FSP.

Food Control Plans

A Food Control Plan consists of a set of procedures in place to manage each risk in their particular process. It can either be off-the-peg or custom made. We can assist you by providing a Custom Made Plan, train all your staff and assist you fill in the forms correctly. We can assist you by doing an audit annually.

The records are kept for an audit by the Council Environmental Health Officer.

Internal Audits

For assistance in preparing for an external audit, we can do an Internal Audit and prepare a report so there are no or limited non compliance issues. This is a requirement for an external audit which is done at least once a year.

Food Premises Registration

We assist in getting a food business registered under the Food Safety Regulations 1974. We also mentor premises with a D or and E Grade / or Closures (by the Councils) – in obtaining an ‘A’ Grade / or re-opening. Improving your Grade is essential in improving the success of your business and making the most of the thousands of visitors expected to be in New Zealand over the Rugby World Cup season and beyond.

Liquor Licensing

If you plan on selling or supplying liquor to the public, you will need a Liquor Licence. Applying for a liquor licence can be a complex task. We do the whole package – training managers, applications for Temporary Authority (if required), all licences (On, Off, Club, Special), public notices etc.

Manager Certificates

Once you have completed the LCQ training, we can help you apply to your local District Licensing Agency. We can also apply for renewals of a Manager Certificate on your behalf.
